HOW WE WORKED AND ENJOYED THE REST IN ISSYK-KUL
In our company we regularly hold retrospectives for covering company's news, discussing issues, and ideas. It is a great practice for the development and maintenance of internal communications in the team. And this is another reason to talk about what may bother each of us. In March this year there was a suggestion of working in Issyk-Kul for some time, and the idea was supported by many employees. So, without hesitation, waiting for summer, we decided to put a plan into action.
The only operating coworking on the coast, where we went, is located in the "Ak-Jol" boarding house, in Kosh-Kol village (about 3 hours from Bishkek). On the first day we didn't have time to see almost anything except the dining room, coworking space, and hotel rooms. But the following day we realized what a wonderful place we were staying at. A large, and most importantly green area with many old trees, flower beds, a big pier, and what we appreciated the most - a bar with Wi-Fi on the beach. That was something our team'd been missing for a really long time in a stuffy city. So, we enjoyed the fresh air, coolness, the sound of the waves, and the incredible scenery from morning till night. In between coding and resolving work issues we let ourselves rest and do something else but work. Basically, spending some quality time was a necessity. And in the evenings we admired beautiful sunsets, went to each other's rooms, talked a lot, and played board games. Despite such relaxing environment, we worked really productively.
The following advantages can be highlighted:
We spent a lot of time together
Saw a new side of each other
Got energized
And even managed to get some rest
Could discuss important questions promptly anywhere and at any time
Disadvantages:

We didn't get enough time. We'd love to have some more days there. So, we decided to make such working trips our new tradition.
